TL Talks April 2019 - Winter Details, After the Storm in Monument Colorado

The day after the "Bomb Cyclone's" howling winds and falling snow subsided, I emerged from my house to survey the surroundings.  In true Colorado fashion, the sun was shining and it was warm enough to shovel snow in short sleeves.  Four foot drifts covered parts of the yard, creating dunes of snow with beautiful flowing lines, and bare grass was visible in other areas.  Trees were pummeled with snow on the west, completely naked on the east.  Wind blown ice, frozen in intricate patterns several inches thick covered the street.  I couldn't help but admire the juxtaposition of mother nature's power with the calm beauty of the aftermath...
